A Remote Grant Writer position is available with LHH Recruitment Solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing winning grant proposals and managing grants for nonprofit organizations. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits package.

This is a fully remote position, but the candidate must reside in California.

Role of the Job

The Grant Writer will research and identify grant opportunities, write and submit high-quality grant proposals, and manage the full grant lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong research, writing, and organizational skills, as well as experience working with nonprofit organizations.

Main Responsibilities

• Research and identify grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission
• Write and submit high-quality grant proposals for private foundations and government agencies
• Manage the full grant lifecycle, including application, reporting, and compliance
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data and supporting materials
• Track grant deadlines, funding requirements, and reporting obligations
• Maintain relationships with funders and provide updates on grant-funded programs

Qualifications Needed

• 1-4 years of experience as the lead writer for winning grant proposals
• At least 2 years of experience in grants management
• Strong writing, editing, and research skills
• Must reside in California and be available to work standard business hours (PST)
• Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred but not required
• Experience working with charities is a plus.

Salary Package

$33.00-$36.00 per hour, depending on experience
