Giant Swarm is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Technical Working Student to join its growing product development team. As a Technical Working Student, you will play a key role in enhancing the company’s managed Kubernetes offering.

Role of the Job
As a Technical Working Student, you will work closely with experienced engineers to develop and improve cloud-native tools for the Giant Swarm App Platform. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes and cloud-native applications.
Main Responsibilities
- Package cloud-native tools for the Giant Swarm App Platform using Helm.
- Build, improve, and test Kubernetes controllers written in Go.
- Collaborate with App Engineers to improve the stability, security, and performance of these tools.
- Write and execute automated tests to ensure the quality of the offerings.
- Improve operations through dashboards, alerts, and logging.
- Automate updates and improve usability.
- Write technical documentation to enable seamless customer adoption.
- Explore and experiment with new technologies and contribute to open-source projects.
Qualification Needed
- Experience with container-based workloads (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Open-source contributions (a plus)
- Programming skills (Python, Go, or similar)
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a remote team
- Ideally based in Germany and currently enrolled as a student
