Role of the Job
As a Seasonal Sales Center Representative, you’ll be the face of Westport Properties, providing top-notch customer service and support to potential and existing customers. Your primary goal will be to respond to incoming telephone calls, set reservations, and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Main Responsibilities
- Respond to all incoming telephone calls for Company-wide inquiries
- Set reservations and holds by working with customer’s needs/demands
- Answer inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information
- Resolve problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems
- Fulfill requests by clarifying desired information; forwarding requests to facility/management appropriately
- Assist customers with any technical issues experienced with the website- Maintain call center database by entering information into company programs
- Effectively communicate with management and fellow associates
Qualifications Needed
- High School Diploma is required- Some college is preferred
- Previous telesales experience is a plus, but not required
- Prior Call Center experience is preferred, but not required
- Retail sales and marketing experience is preferred but not required
- Successful record of sales accomplishments and marketing skills in the self-storage or retail industry is preferred, but not required
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome objections
- Possess the eagerness and work ethic to succeed in a customer service environment; a motivated self-starter
- Professional and friendly attitude and ability to quickly develop a rapport with customers over the phone
- Ability to learn and navigate new software
- Ability to type 30 wpm+
