The Channel Company is hiring a remote Finance Assistant to join their team in the UK for a 12-month fixed-term contract. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team across multiple international entities, including the UK, Spain, and Australia.

Role of the Job
As a Finance Assistant at The Channel Company, you will support the finance team in various tasks, including month-end close processes and accounts receivable operations. You will work closely with internal teams and external clients to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and post monthly prepayment journals, process and reconcile corporate credit card transactions, and perform bank reconciliations for UK, Spain, and Australia.
- Complete and submit new client/vendor onboarding forms, proactively chase outstanding client debt, and maintain debtor records.
- Review and validate VAT postings for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure compliance.
- Assist with intercompany recharge calculations and postings.
- Lead weekly debtors meetings and update the collections forecast to support cash flow planning.
Qualification Needed
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role, ideally in an international environment.
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and month-end processes.
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external clients.
