Role of the Job

The Care Specialist will provide live chat support to families using Empathy’s loss product and short-term disability leave product. This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work in a dynamic startup environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Offer empathetic chat support to users in both English and Spanish, addressing practical and emotional needs.
  • Handle inbound calls, addressing scheduling needs and logistical questions.
  • Assist in creating detailed Care Plans for users.
  • Identify and provide access to essential resources for users.
  • Act as a product expert, connecting users to Empathy-specific tools and resources.

Qualification Needed

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, counseling, support, or concierge services.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving digital environments and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities involving challenging deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and maintain control of workflow.
