Role of the Job

The Events Assistant role is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in events management. The role holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a wide range of professional association client events. This will involve managing pre-event attendee enquiries and onsite attendee support, as well as event planning and logistics. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage event inboxes and respond promptly to all email enquiries
  • Liaise with the wider operations team and set up event registration and abstract management sites
  • Send out attendee comms, including confirmation emails and event joining instructions
  • Assist with building and population of the streaming platform for hybrid events
  • Manage the virtual helpdesk during the event
  • Create weekly and post-event reports for external clients
  • Assist the team with sourcing appropriate venues and other event suppliers
  • Attend events as required to manage the enquiries desk onsite and support the overall onsite attendee experience
