Role of the Job

The Call Center Associate – Medicaid will be responsible for responding to Virginia Medicaid member and provider inquiries in a call center environment, using standard scripts and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a positive and energetic attitude, with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.

Main Responsibilities

  • Respond to Medicaid member and provider inquiries, gather information, assess caller needs, research and resolve inquiries, and document calls.
  • Provide clear and concise information regarding eligibility, claim status, and provider enrollment status.
  • Follow documented policies and procedures, including call handling and escalations, and act as an advocate for both Medicaid recipients and providers to ensure their needs are met.

Qualifications Needed

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to clear a criminal background check and drug test.
  • High-speed internet access and space to work away from noise and distractions.
