 Overview

Orders of St. John Care Trust is hiring a qualified Registered Night Nurse for its Chesham Leys Care Home in Chesham.

• Pay Rate: £25.27 per hour
• Contracted Hours: 24 hours per week
• Visa Sponsorship: Tier 2 visa application fee support available for eligible nurses
• NMC PIN Renewal: Fully funded

About the Role

As a Night Nurse, you will:

• Lead the care team during night shifts
• Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing
• Respond to emergencies and clinical situations
• Administer medications and oversee nursing care
• Work with GPs, hospitals, families, and external agencies
• Ensure safety and high-quality care standards are maintained

The Night Nurse is usually the senior staff member on duty overnight.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Current NMC registration
• Qualification as:
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN), or
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
• Post-registration nursing experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Experience or willingness to train in:

• Medication administration
• End-of-life care
• Catheterisation
• Diabetic awareness
• Venepuncture
• Gastrostomy care
• Epilepsy awareness
• Sepsis awareness
• Tissue viability
• Syringe drivers
• Verification of death
