About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in the NMGH New Hospital Project, specifically within its Digital Workstream.

The role will contribute to the design and implementation of future-ready healthcare infrastructure aligned with national standards and intelligent hospital design principles.

The position will involve working at a senior level across complex programmes, engaging with Executive and Clinical Leaders and helping deliver strategic transformation across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

The role will involve:

  • Leading and coordinating complex digital design and transformation activities
  • Supporting delivery of the Digital Workstream for the NMGH New Hospital Project
  • Planning and managing complex programmes and projects
  • Managing risks, benefits and delivery plans
  • Supporting large-scale organisational change
  • Engaging and influencing a wide range of stakeholders
  • Working collaboratively across organisational and professional boundaries
  • Analysing complex information and developing practical options and solutions
  • Monitoring project performance and reporting progress

Requirements / Person Specification

Candidates should demonstrate substantial senior-level programme and project management experience, particularly within healthcare or an equivalent complex environment.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Master’s degree and/or equivalent job-related management experience
  • Formal project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 and/or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)

Essential experience includes:

  • Extensive project or programme management experience, including planning, risk management and benefits realisation
  • Senior-level experience within an NHS acute trust or equivalent healthcare environment
  • Experience managing large-scale change projects
  • Demonstrable success delivering complex organisational change
  • Experience engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Collaborative and partnership working across organisations
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to anticipate and resolve complex problems
  • Financial awareness and business acumen
  • Experience analysing and presenting complex data

Desirable experience includes:

  • Experience working within an acute hospital setting

Salary & Benefits

The position is offered at NHS Agenda for Change Band 8c, with a salary of:

£79,504 to £91,609 per annum, pro rata.
