Support Worker – Part-Time | £15–£16 per Hour | Trowbridge, Wiltshire (No Sponsorship)

Salary

  • £15.00 per hour – Weekday day shifts
  • £16.00 per hour – Weekend and Bank Holiday day shifts
  • Sleeping night shifts paid at the National Living Wage.

Work Schedule

The role includes a combination of day, evening, weekend, and occasional night shifts.

Typical schedule includes:

  • Monday – 6 hours
  • Tuesday – 8 hours
  • Thursday – 6 hours
  • Friday – 12-hour split shift
  • Sunday – 6 hours
  • One Saturday each month – 6 hours

Flexibility is essential, and additional bank hours may be available.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide dedicated one-to-one support to Bobby, a young adult with autism, cortical visual impairment (CVI), mild cerebral palsy, and a moderate learning disability. Your role will focus on promoting independence, supporting daily living, encouraging social participation, and ensuring Bobby’s safety and wellbeing both at home and within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily living and personal care where required.
  • Encourage independence and confidence.
  • Accompany Bobby on community outings and leisure activities.
  • Promote social inclusion and participation.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Assist with mobility in unfamiliar environments.
  • Follow care plans and guidance from parents, therapists, and the Case Manager.
  • Respond calmly and appropriately in challenging situations.

Person Specification

Applicants should:

  • Be compassionate, patient, and reliable.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Be confident driving a manual vehicle.
  • Be willing to use their own vehicle for work-related travel and training.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
