Location: Wrexham, Flintshire and other North Wales locations as required
Work Location: Groundwork offices, Wrexham, with community-based delivery
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £25,750 per year, pro rata for part-time roles
Employment: Full-time and part-time opportunities available

Digital Skills and Employability Tutor
Support learners to develop digital, employability and essential skills that can help them progress towards employment and new opportunities.
Family Learning Tutor – Flintshire
Deliver family learning opportunities within community settings and support learners to develop confidence, skills and positive learning experiences.
Family Learning Tutor – Wrexham
Work with learners and families across Wrexham, delivering accessible and engaging family learning activities.
Wellbeing Tutor
Deliver learning opportunities designed to support wellbeing, confidence and personal development.
About the Role
As an Adult Community Learning Tutor, you will help people take their first steps back into education and develop skills that can improve their personal and professional opportunities.
You will deliver learning in community venues, including schools, working with learners from a wide range of backgrounds.
Learners may experience barriers such as:
- Low confidence
- Limited skills or qualifications
- Unemployment
- Financial challenges
- Literacy needs
- Digital skills needs
- Difficulty accessing learning opportunities
- Other barriers to education and employment
Groundwork North Wales uses a learner-centred approach, creating friendly and welcoming learning environments that respond to the needs of individual learners and local communities.
Key Responsibilities
Successful tutors will be expected to:
- Deliver engaging adult community learning sessions.
- Support learners with different abilities, backgrounds and learning needs.
- Create welcoming and inclusive learning environments.
- Help learners build confidence and develop essential skills.
- Support progression towards employment and further opportunities.
- Contribute to learner recruitment activities.
- Participate in community engagement events.
- Support wider community learning activities.
- Contribute to quality assurance processes.
- Work flexibly across curriculum areas where required.
- Work across different geographical locations according to learner demand.
- Provide cover for colleagues when necessary.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of the Adult Community Learning programme.
- Help ensure learners receive high-quality learning experiences and achieve positive outcomes.
Flexibility Required
All successful applicants must be willing to work flexibly across curriculum areas and geographical locations.
Tutors may be required to work across Wrexham, Flintshire and other North Wales locations depending on learner demand and programme requirements.
Safeguarding & DBS Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to undertake a DBS check.
Where applicable, a barred list check will also be required at the appropriate level for the position.
Applicants should therefore be prepared to complete the relevant safeguarding checks before commencing the role.
