About the Role
As a Home Visiting General Practitioner, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred urgent care outside normal GP surgery hours.
The role involves attending home visits and assessing patients with a range of urgent medical needs, including acute minor illnesses, injuries and exacerbations of chronic conditions.
You will work closely with nurses, paramedics, administrative colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive safe, effective and coordinated care.

Main Responsibilities
The successful GP will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments during home visits.
- Managing patients requiring urgent medical attention outside normal surgery hours.
- Assessing and treating acute minor illnesses and injuries.
- Managing exacerbations of chronic medical conditions.
- Making appropriate clinical decisions to protect patient safety.
- Using the Adastra clinical system to record consultations and clinical notes accurately.

Essential Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Full qualification as a General Practitioner.
- Current GMC registration and a relevant UK licence to practise.
- Previous experience working in an Out of Hours setting.
- Experience using the Adastra clinical system for patient record management.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Experience managing varied and potentially complex patient caseloads.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Professional Registration
