About the Role

HM Land Registry is recruiting Business Support Executives to support its Workplace and Business Services team.

The role involves supporting key operational contracts and helping monitor the day-to-day performance of Facilities Management services and suppliers.

You may also become involved in contract management, statutory compliance, environmental sustainability, estate management and budgeting/financial management.

HM Land Registry will support successful candidates to complete the Government Commercial Function Contract Management Foundation Course if they have not already done so.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates may:

  • Support operational contracts and supplier performance.

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams and organisational stakeholders.
  • Handle customers and influence effectively.
  • Support budgeting and financial management.
  • Contribute to estate management and statutory compliance.
  • Support environmental sustainability activities.
  • Coach, mentor and develop colleagues.
  • Potentially undertake line-management responsibilities.

Essential Experience

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Experience working as part of a team and independently.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and developing others.
  • Experience handling and influencing customers.
  • Ability to prioritise varied workloads, including sensitive information, deadlines and unexpected demands.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders across an organisation.
  • Good IT and PC skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Experience

Experience working in a commercial or contract-management environment is desirable.

For the Swansea location, Welsh language ability is desirable but will not be tested during the application or interview.

Recruitment Process

The vacancy uses the Civil Service Success Profiles framework and assesses Behaviours, Strengths, Ability and Experience.
