About the Role

Leicestershire County Council is looking for a proactive and organised Information Management Support Worker to support information management and technology processes across Children and Family Services.

The role includes coordinating Freedom of Information (FOI) requests in line with statutory requirements, maintaining accurate data and records, supporting data quality initiatives, and providing management information and technical support when required.

You will work with colleagues and partner organisations to help ensure services are delivered effectively to children and families.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in:

  • Coordinating and supporting Freedom of Information requests.
  • Maintaining accurate data, records and information.
  • Supporting data quality activities and initiatives.
  • Producing management information and documents.
  • Providing information management and technical support.
  • Working with colleagues and partners across Children and Family Services.
  • Managing workloads, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Contributing to accessible and inclusive services for residents.

About You

Applicants should be able to demonstrate:

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Relevant experience in a data administration environment.
  • Experience using spreadsheets, databases and web-based systems.
  • Experience working within a local authority or children and family environment.
  • Knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act and Data Protection legislation.
  • Strong numerical and Microsoft package skills.
  • Excellent organisational and customer care skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A highly organised, methodical and meticulous approach to handling data.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively to deadlines.
