About the Role

The Client Relationships team works with senior stakeholders across Government departments and arm’s-length bodies that receive an enhanced service from the Government Property Agency.

As Client Manager Support, you will provide important administrative, coordination and client-support services to Client Managers, GPA colleagues and clients.

The role involves supporting client relationships, monitoring actions and performance, coordinating meetings, managing information and helping improve the overall client service experience.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working collaboratively with GPA Client Managers and wider stakeholders.
  • Developing a strong understanding of GPA directorates, capabilities and operating processes.
  • Supporting improvements in client satisfaction through proactive, high-quality service.
  • Coordinating Key Performance Indicators through the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Supporting best practice and effective use of CRM systems.
  • Monitoring cases and ensuring actions are progressed within appropriate timescales.
  • Providing administrative support, including email and inbox management, diary management and meeting coordination.
  • Arranging client meetings and preparing and circulating papers.
  • Recording meeting minutes and following up agreed actions through the CRM system.
  • Tracking and progressing actions for Client Managers and GPA Directors.
  • Collating and distributing information across Client Management and wider teams.
  • Maintaining client meeting trackers and supporting client engagement activities.
  • Supporting Client Plans and ensuring deadlines and actions are communicated effectively.
  • Preparing papers, agendas and requests for information.
  • Drafting Permanent Secretary and Client Review briefs.
  • Maintaining a centralised team meeting and activity calendar.
  • Supporting the creation of case studies and maintaining key information in GPA document management systems.
  • Developing AI literacy and using digital tools such as AI-assisted summaries and Power BI dashboards to improve processes.
  • Acting as secretariat for project reviews and Boards, recording decisions and actions and following up afterwards.
  • Managing shared folders and information requests and preparing written responses to routine enquiries.

Essential Experience and Technical Skills

Applicants should have:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Significant business management or administrative experience.
  • Experience providing support to teams and delivering successful change outcomes within set timescales.
  • Strong IT skills and experience using multiple software tools.
  • Experience with CRM systems and tools such as Documents, Sheets, Slides, Power BI and SharePoint, or equivalent Microsoft tools.

Desirable Experience

Experience working in an Estates or Property environment and experience of senior stakeholder management would be beneficial.

Salary and Benefits

The salary is £37,260 to £40,894.

The Government Property Agency also contributes towards the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme, with an employer contribution of 28.97%.

Selection Process

Security Clearance

This is a full-time role.
