About the Role

Liverpool City Council is recruiting Residential Workers to join one of its mainstream children’s homes.

There are currently two full-time positions available. The home supports children who require emotional support because of adverse life experiences and is rated Good by Ofsted.

The successful candidates will work as part of a team to provide a warm, nurturing environment where children and young people feel safe, supported and cared for.

Key Responsibilities

As a Residential Worker, you will:

  • Contribute to the day-to-day running of the children’s home and ensure the needs of children and young people are met.
  • Support children with their education, social development, health and wellbeing.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and young people.
  • Help create opportunities for children to have positive experiences.
  • Support children and young people to grow and develop.
  • Follow relevant policies and procedures.
  • Work with families and partner agencies to safeguard and support children and young people.

Visa Sponsorship and Right to Work

Sponsorship may be possible, subject to Home Office eligibility.

Liverpool City Council states that candidates must either already have the right to work in the UK before starting employment or meet the Home Office criteria for visa sponsorship.
