Job Overview

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an EHR Senior Analyst to join its Electronic Health Record (EHR) team within the Patient Access & Flow department.

The successful candidate will initially support the Patient Self-Scheduling programme through MyCareUCLH (MyChart), helping improve how patients book appointments and access healthcare services digitally. After the initial programme, the post holder will join the wider team to support further digital improvements across the Trust.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced digital healthcare professional with Epic certification, project delivery experience and a good understanding of NHS clinical and operational workflows.

The role offers hybrid working, with a minimum requirement to attend the workplace one day per fortnight. Additional on-site attendance may be required depending on business needs.

Training is available for candidates who do not hold Cadence/MyChart certifications.

Successful applicants without these specific certifications will be expected to complete the necessary training and achieve certification or demonstrate the required proficiency within their six-month probation period.

However, candidates must still meet the essential requirements, including specialist knowledge of electronic health record systems, Epic certification and experience working with Epic applications.

The EHR Senior Analyst will:

  • Engage with departmental leads, subject-matter experts and super-users to understand existing appointment-booking processes.
  • Help design improved patient booking workflows and MyCareUCLH processes.
  • Support project planning and ensure activities are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Work with clinicians and operational managers to identify service requirements and improve clinical workflows.
  • Ensure system improvements meet quality standards, governance requirements and the Trust’s strategic objectives.
