About the Programme

Real Food Real Health is an NHS-developed, person-centred programme designed to help people living with or at risk of Type 2 diabetes and other metabolic health conditions.

The programme delivers:

  • 8-week lifestyle courses
  • Monthly community support sessions

  • Sleep and stress management support
  • Health coaching and motivational interviewing
  • Practical tools for sustainable lifestyle changes

The team works closely with local communities to help participants improve their long-term health and wellbeing.

About the Role

As an Admin Support Officer, you’ll help keep the programme running smoothly by coordinating referrals, supporting participants, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative support to the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the programme telephone line and shared email inbox.
  • Review and triage incoming referrals.
  • Update and maintain confidential patient records.
  • Manage course waiting lists and participant bookings.
  • Send invitations and appointment communications.
  • Monitor attendance and follow up with non-attenders.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and course registers.
  • Attend project and team meetings.
  • Support course delivery and continuous quality improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Friendly and confident telephone manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Good digital literacy.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Flexible and solution-focused approach.

Desirable Skills
