About the Role

Health Innovation Network South London is seeking an experienced Lead Analyst to lead a small team within its Insights team.

The successful candidate will provide analytical leadership across a varied portfolio of insight, evaluation and transformation projects, using quantitative analysis, data visualisation and evidence to support better decision-making across health and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of the HIN South London data analytics service.
• Support the organisation’s evaluation function.
• Lead and develop a team of analysts.
• Deliver high-quality analysis, reporting and evaluation.
• Provide expert leadership in quantitative analysis and data visualisation.
• Support insight, evaluation and transformation projects.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools.
• Drive innovation in data collection, management, analysis and visualisation.
• Advise programme teams, senior leaders and external partners on data interpretation.
• Manage access to multiple data sources.
• Support information governance and data quality requirements.
• Design and deliver evaluations of innovation and improvement initiatives.
• Build relationships across health and social care sectors.
• Support bids, consultancy proposals and fee-for-service projects.

Essential Qualifications

• Relevant Master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification, or equivalent experience.

Essential Experience

• Quantitative analysis within evaluations, including digital innovation.
• Translating high-level requirements into informatics solutions.
• Data acquisition, analysis and visualisation.
• Metrics and KPI development.
• Creating data specifications.
• Designing bespoke data collection tools.
• Experience with Excel.
• Experience with dashboards such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with statistical software such as SPSS, STATA or R.
• Experience with programming languages.
• Experience working as a data analyst within an NHS and/or social care setting.

Working Arrangements
