The successful candidate will help deliver highly visible inbound and outbound Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) projects, support trading partner implementations, monitor file processing, troubleshoot data issues, and assist with healthcare eligibility and claims data integrations.

This position is particularly suited to candidates with experience in ANSI X12 834 eligibility files, data mapping, SQL, Power BI, data integration, healthcare data operations, and data quality.

Position Summary

The Data Analyst will play an important role in the implementation and ongoing management of inbound and outbound EDI files.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring inbound and outbound files.
• Supporting new trading partner implementations.
• Configuring eligibility and claims files.
• Working with ANSI X12 834 eligibility files.
• Supporting standard and custom data extracts.
• Maintaining existing trading partner files.
• Investigating and resolving file-related issues.
• Performing data mapping and testing.
• Supporting data validation and quality initiatives.
• Monitoring file-processing performance.
• Investigating discrepancies and downstream data impacts.

EDI & Data Implementation

• Participate in outbound file implementation projects.
• Support project initiation and implementation planning.
• Help establish project timelines and milestones.
• Coordinate resources across internal teams.
• Participate in project meetings.
• Assist with communications involving vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Support claims, eligibility, and data-extract implementations.
• Assist with configuration, testing, and production transitions.

ANSI X12 834 & Claims Files

The successful candidate will work with ANSI X12 834 eligibility files and claims-related data.

Responsibilities include:

• Navigating and interpreting 834-formatted files.
• Troubleshooting eligibility files.
• Supporting claims-file troubleshooting.
• Completing data mapping.
• Supporting file testing and validation.
• Identifying formatting and data issues.
• Helping resolve production problems.
• Escalating complex technical issues when necessary.

Data Quality & Monitoring

The Data Analyst will help ensure the accuracy and reliability of operational data.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring file-processing status.
• Reviewing eligibility audit reports.
• Reviewing claims reports.
• Identifying discrepancies and potential risks.
• Investigating data-quality problems.
• Supporting data integrity initiatives.
• Maintaining accurate documentation.

Education Requirements

Experience & Technical Skills

• At least 2–3 years of experience working with inbound and outbound ANSI X12 834 EDI files.
• Experience with the X12 834 format.
• Working knowledge of data management.
• Knowledge of data warehousing.
• Basic SQL experience.
• Basic Microsoft Power BI experience.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
