Job Overview
GovCIO is hiring a Power Platform Developer to support a mission-critical U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) / Office of Information and Technology (OIT) organization.
This fully remote position is ideal for an experienced Microsoft Power Platform professional who can design and deliver solutions that automate business processes, improve productivity and turn complex data into actionable insights.
The successful candidate will work across Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI, while collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams, scrum teams and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Microsoft Power Platform applications.
- Build solutions ranging from simple forms to complex enterprise applications.
- Automate business processes including approvals, notifications and document management.
- Work with stakeholders to understand existing business workflows.
- Identify opportunities where Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI can improve efficiency.
- Translate business requirements into effective Power Apps solutions.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Teams, Azure, external APIs and databases.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Present KPIs and business metrics in clear and actionable formats.
- Conduct gap analysis and technical trade-off analysis.
- Document technical specifications, solution designs and processes.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting and user training.
- Keep up to date with Microsoft Power Platform technologies and best practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Research or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent/commensurate experience.
- 5+ years of Microsoft Power Platform experience.
- Experience designing, developing and troubleshooting Power Apps applications.
- Experience with form and workflow design.
- Experience automating business processes.
- Experience connecting Power Apps to SharePoint and Excel.
- Experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Knowledge of data visualization and performance optimization.
- Experience integrating data from multiple sources.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Strong business process analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to design efficient and scalable solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience translating Department of Veterans Affairs mission requirements into practical data elements.
- Knowledge of Power Apps and Power BI environment management.
- Understanding of security and permissions within Power Platform environments.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working with non-technical stakeholders.
- Microsoft certifications related to Power Platform.

Salary
$110,000 – $120,000 Per Year

Working Arrangement
This is a fully remote position within the United States.
Core hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time
The role may involve 0–10% travel, depending on client requirements.
