About the Role

As a Recovery Support Worker, you will support adults experiencing mental health challenges, homelessness, and other complex needs. You’ll manage your own caseload, helping clients achieve independence through personalised recovery plans and collaborative support.

The role includes flexible shifts covering evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients using a person-centred recovery approach.
  • Manage and monitor individual support plans.
  • Build trusting relationships with vulnerable adults.
  • Work alongside community mental health teams and partner organisations.
  • Promote independence, wellbeing, and social inclusion.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients and staff.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people.
  • Understanding of recovery-focused mental health approaches, including Person-Centred Approach and Open Dialogue.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Applicants with lived experience of homelessness, mental health challenges, recovery services, substance misuse services, or the criminal justice system are especially encouraged to apply.
