The Role
As a Care Assistant, you will work as part of a friendly team within one of Belong’s households.
You will provide high-quality, person-centred care while supporting older people with their daily needs and helping them live as independently as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and day-to-day support
- Supporting residents with medication management
- Preparing and cooking meals
- Providing dementia care
- Organising and supporting activities
- Encouraging residents to participate in exercise and wellbeing activities
- Updating day-to-day information on care plans
- Supporting residents to maintain their independence
- Providing compassionate and respectful person-centred care
- Working effectively as part of the wider care team
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of a Care Certificate or Level 2 NVQ is required.
- Previous care experience is required.
- Applicants must be available for weekend working.
- Successful candidates must complete an Enhanced DBS check.
- Candidates must be available to attend the initial four-day induction during the week.
Induction Requirements
The initial induction is delivered over two weeks.
Candidates must be available to attend two full days during each of the two weeks, giving a total of four induction days.
The induction is paid and forms part of the organisation’s comprehensive training programme.
Salary and Working Hours
£13.45 per hour
Expected hours: 13.5 hours per week
The position is part-time and permanent, with weekend availability required.
