About the Role

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is recruiting experienced temporary workers to join its Temporary Staffing Services Bank for administrative and clerical assignments.

The Trust is expanding its pool of temporary administrative staff to support a number of high-priority projects over the next nine months.

Successful applicants may be offered temporary assignments across different departments and divisions at:

  • University Hospital Lewisham
  • Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich
  • Other relevant Trust locations depending on operational requirements

Assignments can vary from single-day placements to opportunities lasting several weeks.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates may be responsible for a range of general administrative and clerical duties.

Telephone and Customer Support

Duties may include:

  • Answering telephone calls
  • Handling internal enquiries
  • Responding to patient-focused queries
  • Taking accurate telephone messages
  • Passing messages to the appropriate person, department or division
  • Providing professional customer service

Email and Administrative Communication

You may also be required to:

  • Respond to email enquiries
  • Forward enquiries to the appropriate departments
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and service users
  • Maintain accurate administrative records

General Office Administration

Responsibilities can include:

  • Photocopying
  • Scanning documents
  • General office administration
  • Filing and document handling
  • Supporting different departments with administrative tasks

Data Entry and Digital Systems

Depending on your placement, you may be required to use various internal digital systems.

Accurate data entry is therefore essential.

Essential Experience
