Scottish Forestry is recruiting a Case Support Officer to join its Grampian Conservancy team in Huntly, Scotland.
This is a permanent, full-time role offering a salary of £30,414 to £31,814, together with a 28.97% employer contribution to the Civil Service Pension Scheme.
The successful candidate will provide administrative and casework support across forestry grants, regulations, applications and enquiries.
About the Role
As a Case Support Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of forestry casework across the Grampian Conservancy.
You will manage and support administrative processes relating to:
- Forestry Grant Scheme (FGS) applications
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening requests
- Forest Plans
- Felling Permission applications
- Grant and regulatory casework
- Customer enquiries
- General office administration
The position is suited to someone who is organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple workloads while working with internal colleagues, applicants and external stakeholders.
Hybrid Working
The role is based at the Scottish Forestry office in Huntly and operates on a hybrid working arrangement.
The successful applicant will be required to attend the office for a minimum of two days per week, with additional attendance when required to meet business needs.
Main Responsibilities
As part of the Case Support Team, you will provide administrative support to the Conservancy’s Grants & Regulations function.
Your duties will include:
- Processing Forestry Grant Scheme applications
- Ensuring applications comply with relevant guidance and policies
- Processing EIA screening requests
- Ensuring regulatory applications are handled in accordance with guidance
- Processing Felling Permission applications within customer charter timescales
- Using internal IT systems to process grant applications
- Supporting the administration of Forest Plans
- Maintaining accurate manual and electronic records
- Communicating with customers and stakeholders
- Providing information and support to applicants
- Responding to enquiries from agents and members of the public
- Providing administrative support to colleagues
- Processing invoices
- Managing supplier information
- Carrying out general office administration
- Supporting the Operations Team and Office Manager
About the Grampian Conservancy
The Grampian Conservancy covers a diverse area of Scotland, including landscapes stretching from the Howe of the Mearns through Deeside and the Buchan Plains to the hills and mountains of Moray.
The Case Support Officer will contribute to the smooth running of the Conservancy and help ensure forestry-related applications and casework are processed effectively.
