Web Designer Job Opportunity

TESTQ Technologies is recruiting an experienced Web Designer to join its IT services and solutions business.

This remote opportunity is suited to a professional with strong experience in web design, UI/UX, digital product design and responsive digital experiences.

The successful candidate will work with stakeholders, project teams, developers, marketing teams and senior leadership to create engaging, accessible and commercially effective digital products.

Key Responsibilities

The successful Web Designer will be responsible for:

  • Designing visually compelling, responsive and accessible websites and web applications.
  • Creating customer portals, landing pages and enterprise digital platforms.
  • Translating business requirements and user needs into intuitive interfaces.
  • Conducting user research, usability studies and competitor benchmarking.
  • Developing wireframes, concepts, prototypes and high-fidelity mock-ups.
  • Creating responsive designs for desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
  • Designing interfaces in accordance with WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.
  • Developing and maintaining design systems, reusable UI components and design libraries.
  • Creating style guides, typography standards, iconography and branding assets.
  • Working with Business Analysts, Product Managers, UX Researchers and developers.
  • Producing detailed UI specifications and developer handoff documentation.
  • Designing dashboards, e-commerce interfaces, SaaS platforms, CMS websites and enterprise applications.
  • Improving navigation, information architecture, content hierarchy and user journeys.
  • Working closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
  • Creating micro-interactions, transitions, motion graphics and interactive elements.
  • Analysing user engagement, website performance, heatmaps and clickstream data.
  • Supporting SEO, conversion rate optimisation and lead-generation initiatives.
  • Designing banners, infographics, illustrations, social media graphics and promotional materials.
  • Maintaining consistent branding across digital products and customer touchpoints.
  • Supporting A/B testing through alternative interface designs.
  • Keeping up with emerging design trends, AI-powered design technologies and modern UI frameworks.
  • Participating in design reviews, sprint planning, retrospectives and product demonstrations.
  • Maintaining documentation covering design decisions, usability findings and accessibility assessments.
  • Contributing to innovation through modern design methodologies, automation and AI-assisted workflows.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Web Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, UX Design, HCI, Multimedia Design, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–7 years of professional experience in Web Design, UI Design, UX Design, Digital Product Design, Front-End Design or Digital Experience Design.
  • Experience designing responsive websites and digital applications.
  • Experience with enterprise portals, SaaS platforms, e-commerce websites and customer-facing applications.
  • A strong professional portfolio demonstrating visual design and UX capabilities.
  • Experience with responsive layouts and accessibility.
  • Strong understanding of branding and user experience principles.
