Job Overview
A government-funded public sector organisation is seeking an experienced UX Researcher to join its mature agile delivery team on an initial 3-month fully remote contract, with extensions highly likely.
This is a research-focused opportunity for an experienced UX/User Research professional who can plan and lead research activities that directly influence the design and development of user-centred digital services.
You will work alongside two UX Designers, a Junior UX Researcher and two Front-End Developers.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead UX research activities.
- Select appropriate research methods for complex questions.
- Conduct usability testing.
- Carry out in-depth user interviews.
- Design and conduct diary studies.
- Facilitate user groups.
- Deliver remote research and evaluation.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research.
- Work closely with UX Designers and Front-End Developers.
- Translate research findings into actionable insights.
- Support the development of user-centred digital services.
- Lead research planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute effectively within an agile delivery environment.

Essential Requirements
- 3–4+ years’ experience in UX Research, User Research or Usability.
- Experience working in an agency or client-side digital environment.
- Strong agile delivery experience.
- Strong understanding of user-centred design.
- Confidence leading research planning.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Essential experience delivering research on GOV projects.
- Ability to work effectively with designers, developers and multidisciplinary teams.
Government & Security Requirements
Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
Sponsorship and work permits cannot be provided.
The successful candidate will work on Security Cleared-level projects and must meet the relevant security requirements.
