About the Darzi Fellowship
The successful candidate will serve as the Clinical Lead for Leadership Fellows, working alongside the London Postgraduate Deans to lead the delivery of leadership fellowship support functions.
The role will contribute to the strategic direction and development of clinical leadership fellows across NHS England in London.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide effective clinical leadership for agreed projects.
- Liaise with NHS organisations and relevant sector colleagues.
- Provide timely clinical advice and leadership.
- Produce written reports covering progress, risks and issues.
- Promote equality, inclusivity and diversity.
- Support initiatives aimed at reducing health inequalities.
- Act as an advocate and positive role model for NHS England.
- Promote leadership that inspires, motivates and empowers staff.
- Provide a credible onsite leadership presence.
Essential Qualifications
- Full registration with the relevant professional body, such as GMC, GDC, NMC, HPC, GPC or equivalent.
- Undergraduate degree.
- Minimum training level or equivalent experience at ST4–6, CT3, SAS, GPST3/4, Band 7/8a or equivalent.
Essential Knowledge
- Knowledge of organisational development, management or leadership development.
- Understanding of quality and safety improvement.
- Understanding of clinical governance principles.
Essential Experience
- Previous coordination, management or leadership experience.
- Leadership experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
- Experience within or outside healthcare may be considered.
Essential Skills
- Strong teaching and training skills.
- Ability to work with and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven record of successful leadership.
- Ability to establish and deliver a clear vision.
