About the Role
Practice Plus Group is offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Payroll Analyst to join its payroll team in a hybrid working capacity.
The successful candidate will work 22.5 hours per week across 4–5 days, with one of those days being Thursday and worked from the office.
You will support the delivery of the payroll function from start to finish, while also providing assistance to the Senior Payroll Analyst with pensions and benefits processes.
The role involves responsibility for both salaried and hourly payrolls, covering Practice Plus Group’s hospitals and diagnostic services and approximately 2,500 employees.
Full on-the-job training will be provided to help you succeed in the position. However, the training does not lead to a specific professional qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out all aspects of payroll service delivery.
- Supporting an efficient end-to-end payroll process.
- Managing payroll to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Ensuring payroll processes comply with applicable legislation.
- Checking statutory and voluntary payroll deductions.
- Ensuring deductions are paid accurately to external organisations by required deadlines.
- Responding to employee payroll queries.
- Resolving payment issues professionally and promptly.
- Following payroll standard operating procedures and auditing processes.
- Maintaining strong compliance controls.
- Supporting compliance with data protection requirements.
- Working closely with HR, Finance and operational teams.
- Supporting management with payroll improvement initiatives.
