Job Overview
Accomplish is recruiting a Support Worker to join the team at Westholme, a residential care home located in Moseley, Birmingham.
Westholme is based in a Victorian house and supports up to 13 adults with autism, mental health needs, learning disabilities and acquired brain injury (ABI).
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day support, encouragement and care, helping the people supported to develop independence and live fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day support and helping maintain routines.
- Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to live fulfilling lives.
- Supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Helping with healthcare needs.
- Accompanying individuals to routine appointments.
- Administering medication where required.
- Teaching practical life skills, including budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
- Providing personal care when required.
- Helping with domestic duties such as cleaning and cooking.
- Providing physical and emotional support, guidance and encouragement.
