Job Overview

Accomplish is recruiting a Support Worker to join the team at Westholme, a residential care home located in Moseley, Birmingham.

Westholme is based in a Victorian house and supports up to 13 adults with autism, mental health needs, learning disabilities and acquired brain injury (ABI).

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day support, encouragement and care, helping the people supported to develop independence and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day support and helping maintain routines.
  • Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to live fulfilling lives.
  • Supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Helping with healthcare needs.
  • Accompanying individuals to routine appointments.
  • Administering medication where required.
  • Teaching practical life skills, including budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
  • Providing personal care when required.
  • Helping with domestic duties such as cleaning and cooking.
  • Providing physical and emotional support, guidance and encouragement.

Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.

At 35 hours per week, this is approximately £24,479 – £25,571 per year before tax, based on 52 weeks.
