About the Role

The Housing Inclusion Service works to prevent homelessness wherever possible by exploring different housing options for people who are at risk of homelessness.

As a Housing Support Officer, you will work within the Customer Access Team and provide the first point of contact for customers through:

  • In-person support
  • Telephone contact
  • Email

The role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality customer care and a first-class customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities

You will work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, supporting customers while remaining organised, focused and professional under pressure.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide high-quality customer service and support.
  • Assist customers with housing-related enquiries and options.
  • Work effectively with partner agencies.
  • Apply relevant housing legislation in the role.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and partner organisations.
  • Use various IT programmes and systems effectively.
  • Remain calm and professional when dealing with demanding situations.

Skills and Experience
