About the Role
This is a newly created position within the Performance and Systems function of Liverpool City Council’s Children and Young People’s Services.
The successful candidate will lead the development of high-quality analysis, intelligence products and reporting to help senior leaders understand performance and make evidence-based decisions.
The role will also involve developing the use of data, digital technology and AI to improve analytical capability across the service.
Experience or a strong understanding of Children and Young People’s Services, including relevant processes, legislation and frameworks, would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
The Performance and Intelligence Manager will:
- Lead the development of analysis and analytical products for the Children and Young People’s Services Directorate.
- Produce and present high-quality insight, analysis and performance reporting.
- Use data and intelligence to support improved outcomes for children and young people.
- Manage and develop a skilled Performance and Intelligence team.
- Develop innovative approaches to data, digital technology and AI.
- Support senior leaders, elected members and partners with performance frameworks and target-setting arrangements.
- Promote evidence-based decision-making across services.
- Drive continuous improvement through intelligence and interactive reporting.
- Improve data quality and support real-time performance improvement.
- Contribute to strategic change across Children’s Services.
- Bring together service, finance and HR data to provide a broader picture of organisational impact.
Requirements / Person Specification
Applicants should be able to demonstrate the skills and experience needed to lead a performance and intelligence function within a complex public-service environment.
