About the Role
The Government Property Agency is looking for a Systems Administrator – ServiceNow to join its Corporate Systems Team.
The successful candidate will help administer, maintain and develop the ServiceNow platform, supporting areas including IT Service Management (ITSM), HR Service Delivery (HRSD), Customer Service Management (CSM), Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Business Continuity Management (BCM).
The role will contribute to digital transformation, operational efficiency and improvements to the user experience across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and optimise the ServiceNow platform across multiple modules.
- Carry out system health checks, patches and upgrades.
- Manage integrations between ServiceNow and other business-critical systems.
- Provide first-line managed service support and escalate issues where required.
- Develop enhancements and additional functionality in line with best practice.
- Undertake functional testing and manage defects and re-testing.
- Support other corporate systems, including Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Planon IWMS, JIRA and Confluence.
- Manage Incident, Problem and Change Management workflows.
- Support HR Service Delivery workflows and employee journeys.
- Develop customer service portals and automated workflows through CSM.
- Maintain GRC processes for risk, compliance and audit requirements.
- Configure ITOM for monitoring, event management and automation.
- Administer Business Continuity Management processes.
- Design and implement workflows, UI policies, scripts and business rules.
- Configure dashboards, reports and performance analytics.
- Support service transition and third-party integrations.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
- Maintain platform security, governance, data integrity and compliance.
Essential Experience and Skills
Applicants should have:
- Experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades, customisation and third-party integrations.
- Knowledge of service management best practices.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, automation and system integration.
- Ability to identify and implement automation opportunities using ServiceNow scripting and integrations.
- Experience monitoring KPIs and managing SLAs.
- Experience in problem management and identifying root causes.
- Hands-on ServiceNow administration experience across relevant modules.
Desirable Experience
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience with HRSD, CSM, GRC, ITOM and BCM.
- Knowledge of CMDB and Asset Management.
- Expertise in ITIL-based Incident, Problem and Change Management.
- Experience with governance, risk and compliance frameworks.
- Experience managing IT operations and ServiceNow integrations.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related subject, or equivalent experience.
- Moderate hands-on experience with ServiceNow administration.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
Desirable:
- ITIL certification.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist.
