Job Overview

Tapestry Learning Partnership is recruiting an Attendance Officer to join City of Derby Academy in Sinfin, Derby.

The successful candidate will help improve student attendance and punctuality by monitoring attendance records, identifying concerns early and working closely with students, parents, school staff and external agencies.

You will play an important role in reducing persistent absence, supporting pupil welfare and ensuring the school meets its statutory attendance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and track student attendance and punctuality.
• Identify attendance concerns and patterns of persistent absence.
• Work with students and families to improve attendance outcomes.
• Coordinate with teaching staff, pastoral teams and external agencies.
• Support the implementation of the school’s attendance strategy.
• Help identify barriers preventing students from attending school regularly.
• Contribute to pupil welfare and safeguarding.
• Support compliance with statutory school attendance requirements.
