Role of the Job
Analyze complex healthcare datasets, build data models, and deliver insights that shape products, client solutions, and strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze healthcare datasets (claims, EHR, FHIR, registries) for trends & KPIs
- Collaborate with engineers, product, and SMEs to define metrics & controls
- Build & maintain curated datasets and dashboards (SQL, Python, BI tools)
- Support clinical, operational & policy use cases with advanced analysis
- Develop business rules for data mapping, transformation, and validation
- Ensure HIPAA-compliant data privacy and security protocols
- Translate findings into clear reports & visualizations for stakeholders
- Monitor data health metrics and support anomaly detection
Requirements
- Education – Bachelor’s in Health Informatics, Public Health, Stats, CS, or related field
- Experience – 3+ years with healthcare data (EHR, claims, public health)
- Skills – SQL, Python/R, Excel, Tableau/Power BI/Quicksight
- Knowledge – Healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, ICD, CPT, LOINC)
- Traits – Strong communicator, detail-oriented, problem solver, collaborative
- Databricks, Snowflake, or modern data platforms
- Familiarity with data governance (NIST, HITRUST)
- Experience with CMS, VA, DoD, payer/provider orgs
- Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems & policy
- Master’s degree or analytics certifications
