About the Role

Business Support Officers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the National Crime Agency. The position supports a wide range of business areas, including intelligence, investigations, strategy, human resources, corporate services, and national economic crime operations.

This customer-focused role requires excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. Successful candidates will provide administrative and operational support while helping the agency achieve its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver business support through planning, governance, performance management, and service delivery.
  • Support projects, campaigns, and operational activities.
  • Assist with policy development through research, drafting, and coordination.
  • Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for administrative and business-related queries.
  • Supervise and manage Business Support Assistants.

Security Clearance Requirements

This role requires successful completion of SC Enhanced clearance before appointment and DV Enhanced clearance within the first 12 months of employment.

Applicants must meet the residency requirements:

  • SC Enhanced: Minimum 3 years in the UK within the last 5 years.
  • DV Enhanced: Minimum 7 years in the UK within the last 10 years.

A substance misuse test and occupational health assessment will also form part of the pre-employment process.
