The College of Policing is recruiting Performance Improvement Support Officers to join its national Support and Intervention Team. About the Role

The College of Policing is seeking experienced professionals to support police forces across the UK in improving operational performance and delivering better outcomes for the public. Working within the national Support and Intervention Team, you’ll help identify performance challenges, develop evidence-based improvement plans, and support organisational change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage performance improvement projects.
  • Develop practical, evidence-based improvement plans.
  • Build relationships with senior policing and government stakeholders.
  • Coordinate specialist resources and change initiatives.
  • Promote innovation and best practice across UK policing.
  • Support cultural and operational improvements within police forces.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Recent experience leading performance improvement within a policing environment.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Experience influencing organisational change.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following:
    • Preventing crime and anti-social behaviour.
    • Investigating crime.
    • Safeguarding adults and children at risk.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
