About the Role

As a Senior Power BI and Collaboration Engineer, you will take a leading role in delivering enterprise-level business intelligence solutions that enable informed decision-making across Acas.

You will work closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and business users to build scalable Power BI solutions while promoting best practices in data modelling, governance, reporting, and analytics.

This position also includes mentoring colleagues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to Acas’ long-term data strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development of Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models.
  • Designing scalable and reusable reporting solutions.
  • Building and maintaining robust data models using Power Query and DAX.
  • Optimising dashboard performance and data refresh processes.
  • Gathering reporting requirements from business stakeholders.
  • Translating business needs into meaningful KPIs and visual insights.
  • Managing data governance, documentation, metadata, and security.
  • Implementing Role-Level Security (RLS) and workspace permissions.
  • Supporting production reporting environments.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and improving reporting performance.
  • Working within Agile delivery teams.
  • Integrating multiple data sources into reporting platforms.
  • Supporting organisational data strategy initiatives.
  • Mentoring team members and promoting Power BI best practices.
  • Managing technical risks and identifying improvement opportunities.

Working Location

This role is available in:

Hybrid working is available, allowing employees to balance office and home working. Please note that the role must be carried out within Great Britain.
