Finance Business Analyst Opportunity in the UK

SystemsAccountants is seeking an experienced Finance Business Analyst to support a large-scale finance transformation programme following the successful implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

This contract offers an excellent opportunity to work on multiple strategic programmes, helping to establish a Finance Centre of Excellence while improving business processes, documentation, and system capabilities.

If you have experience in finance transformation, ERP implementation, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, stakeholder engagement, and business process mapping, this could be your next contract.

About the Role

Following the successful go-live of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, the organisation is enhancing its finance operations by creating a Centre of Excellence.

The successful candidate will work closely with finance teams, technical specialists, implementation vendors, and project stakeholders to document business processes, improve workflows, support system enhancements, and ensure the platform delivers maximum value across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements from finance departments and stakeholders.
• Document current and future business processes.
• Produce detailed functional documentation.
• Create finance process maps.
• Analyse and improve finance workflows.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Work closely with software implementation partners.
• Support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central optimisation.
• Assist with finance transformation initiatives.
• Evaluate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) solutions.
• Support data migration activities.
• Assist with system implementation.
• Develop user documentation.
• Prepare training materials for end users.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Assist with defect management and bug resolution.
• Recommend continuous process improvements.
• Support post-implementation enhancements.
• Work collaboratively with finance, IT, and external vendors.
