Job Overview

The successful apprentice will support the Trust’s data team by maintaining data quality, analysing datasets, producing reports, improving reporting processes, and assisting schools with data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and manage data reporting requests.
  • Investigate reporting and data refresh issues.
  • Analyse datasets and identify opportunities for data cleansing and standardisation.
  • Monitor data trends and identify risks or opportunities.
  • Support school staff in understanding reports and performance data.
  • Assist with maintaining the Trust’s Snowflake database.
  • Support automation of data collection and reporting.
  • Improve reporting accuracy and data quality.
  • Maintain documentation for data processes and systems.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple schools.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Confidence explaining technical information to non-technical users.

Apprenticeship Training

Successful candidates will complete a Level 3 Data & Business Insights Apprenticeship, covering:

  • Data sourcing and validation
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Data formatting and presentation
  • Business reporting
  • Legal and ethical handling of business data
  • Workplace learning and mentoring

There is also an opportunity to progress onto a Level 4 qualification after successful completion.
