The College of Policing is recruiting an AI Enabled Threat Coordinator to support the UK’s response to AI-enabled crime. This is a 2-year fixed-term/secondment opportunity for existing UK police officers, police staff, Civil Service employees, and College of Policing employees.
Working remotely from anywhere in the UK, you’ll collaborate with national policing partners, government agencies, and innovation networks to strengthen intelligence sharing and AI-enabled threat coordination.

About the Role
As the AI Enabled Threat Coordinator, you will support the Police AI and Harm Threat (PATH) programme by coordinating national responses to AI-enabled crime.
You’ll work with policing partners, government departments, research organisations, innovation networks, and national security stakeholders to ensure emerging AI threats are identified, understood, and addressed effectively.
The role reports to the Criminal Threats Lead and works closely with Police AI teams across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate collaboration between police forces, ROCUs, the National Crime Agency (NCA), Home Office, and other national partners.
- Improve intelligence sharing across policing.
- Translate PATH intelligence into operational guidance and briefings.
- Support the adoption of AI technologies such as deepfake detection.
- Identify barriers to implementation and encourage national consistency.
- Build relationships with research organisations, innovation programmes, and technology partners.
- Coordinate testing, evaluation, and deployment of emerging technologies.
- Prepare strategic reports and briefings for senior policing and government leaders.
