About the Role

Hargreaves Lansdown is recruiting a Data Management Analyst to help improve data governance, quality, and understanding across the business. You’ll work closely with data owners, stewards, and business stakeholders to ensure critical business data is well-defined, properly governed, and maintained to a high standard.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in data governance, data quality, SQL, Excel, and stakeholder management who want to work with one of the UK’s leading investment platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, classify, and define critical business data.
  • Maintain metadata and data catalogues.
  • Define and monitor data quality rules.
  • Investigate data issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Work with stakeholders to improve data quality and governance.
  • Support data ownership frameworks and governance processes.
  • Document data lineage, ownership, and business definitions.
  • Monitor remediation activities and recommend improvements.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in data governance, data management, or data quality.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to explain complex data concepts in a simple manner.
  • Experience working with enterprise data assets.

Desirable Skills

  • SQL experience.
  • Snowflake or Databricks knowledge.
  • Experience with data governance platforms such as:
    • Informatica
    • Collibra
    • Precisely
  • Experience simplifying complex business data processes.

Working Pattern

  • Permanent full-time role.
  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Hybrid working (3 office days per week).
  • Office location: Bristol (BS1 5HL).
