About the Role
As a Practice Developer, you will develop and deliver evidence-based national professional practice guidance for the police service. You will work alongside subject matter experts, police professionals, and stakeholders to interpret research, identify best practices, and produce practical guidance that supports ethical and consistent policing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of national policing guidance.
- Define the scope of new guidance projects.
- Collaborate with policing experts and national stakeholders.
- Analyse research evidence and operational practice.
- Produce practical and ethical professional guidance.
- Design and lead public consultations.
- Conduct surveys, workshops, and focus groups.
- Prepare reports and briefing documents.
- Update existing national guidance where required.
Essential Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Degree or Level 6 qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Experience gathering, analysing, and interpreting complex information.
- Ability to prepare professional reports and briefing papers.

Contract Information
- Two positions available until 30 December 2026.
- One position available until 31 March 2027.
