Opportunity Overview
Liverpool City Council is launching the Liverpool Young Futures Apprenticeship Programme, a dedicated route into employment for young people living in Liverpool.
This is not simply work experience. Successful applicants will receive a real job, real salary, recognised qualification and potential long-term career path while gaining valuable experience working for one of the city’s largest employers.

Who Can Apply?
To apply, you must:
- Be 16–20 years old, or up to 24 if you have an EHCP or are care experienced
- Be a Liverpool resident, or a Liverpool City Council care leaver living outside the city boundary
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Meet the relevant apprenticeship eligibility requirements, including UK residency requirements
- Be willing to work towards Functional Skills qualifications if you do not currently have GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent in English and Maths
Recruitment Process
1. Initial Application
Submit one application and identify the types of roles that interest you.
2. Shortlisting
Eligible candidates may be shortlisted for the next stage.
3. Assessment Centre
Successful shortlisted candidates will be invited to an assessment centre in September 2026. Exact dates are to be confirmed.
4. Interview
Candidates who successfully complete the assessment centre may progress to interviews with hiring managers.
