About the Business Analyst Role
Fitch Ratings is seeking a Business Analyst based at its Manchester, UK office.
You will join the Technology & Data Delivery Enablement team, supporting Agile delivery by translating business requirements into clear, testable and delivery-ready requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with business stakeholders and end users to elicit and validate requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear, testable and delivery-ready requirements.
- Ensure requirements align with business strategy and value.
- Work with Delivery Owners, Product Owners and Agile squads.
- Participate in story creation, backlog refinement and sprint planning.
- Identify delivery risks relating to requirements, feasibility and dependencies.
- Drive appropriate risk-mitigation actions.
- Maintain high-quality documentation and requirements artifacts.
- Use tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Support testing activities, including smoke testing.
- Confirm delivered solutions meet agreed requirements.
- Collaborate across business and technical teams.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years’ experience in business analysis, requirements management or a related role.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work across business and technical teams.
- Strong requirements-gathering and documentation skills.
- Willingness to learn and use modern practices, including AI-enabled tools.
