Role of the Job

The Business Development Manager will drive new business growth and strengthen relationships with financial advisers and intermediaries, ensuring Royal London is recognized for market-leading propositions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal sales targets from a panel of intermediaries and expand relationships with new intermediaries
• Champion Royal London’s propositions through consultative-led business relationships
• Collaborate with colleagues to maximize profitable new business opportunities and provide insights to enhance product offerings
• Deliver sales presentations to intermediaries promoting new and existing opportunities
• Act as a trusted partner to your panel, ensuring value addition, smooth sales processes, and compliance with consumer duty principles
• Identify, measure, assign, and manage risks in line with RCSA methodology
• Support and follow-up on central sales campaigns and National Partnership events

Requirements

• Experience in a Business Development role with a successful track record in Financial Services
• Strong understanding of the competitive landscape and proactive relationship-building skills
• Ability to deliver consultative sales through excellent verbal and written communication
• Knowledge of industry issues, technical and legislative updates, with the ability to present them effectively
• Level 4 qualification equivalent or a desire to achieve it
• Proven ability to establish rapport and build strong relationships in face-to-face or virtual settings
