About the Role
The Junior Business Analyst will help bridge the gap between BRM business teams and technical delivery groups.
You will support multiple BRM sectors while developing subject-matter knowledge across different business areas. Your responsibilities will include requirements gathering, documentation, project coordination, testing, process improvement and stakeholder communication.
You will help transform business requirements into practical documentation such as:
- User stories
- Acceptance criteria
- Process flows
- Business requirements
- Supporting documentation
- Project and delivery updates
You will work closely with BRM colleagues, development teams, QA, infrastructure teams and other business stakeholders to support platform improvements and reduce administrative workloads.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
- Support the collection and documentation of business requirements across BRM sectors.
- Participate in stakeholder discussions, discovery sessions and workshops.
- Understand business needs and translate them into clear requirements.
- Help create user stories, acceptance criteria and process flows.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation.
- Work with senior colleagues and technical teams to validate requirements.
- Confirm requirements, actions and next steps with relevant stakeholders.
Project Coordination & Delivery Support
- Assist with projects, enhancements and change requests from discovery through delivery.
- Maintain Jira tickets, timelines and project documentation.
- Track actions and provide status updates.
- Follow up with stakeholders and technical teams.
- Help clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Monitor progress and escalate blockers when necessary.
Stakeholder Communication
- Build effective relationships with business and technology teams.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders at different levels.
- Provide updates on assigned workstreams.
- Ask questions to understand business priorities.
- Support stakeholder walkthroughs and demonstrations.
- Help prepare users for testing and feedback.
- Communicate upcoming changes effectively.
Process Improvement & Learning
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and platforms.
- Help make day-to-day work easier for BRM teams.
- Contribute to documentation templates and process notes.
- Support knowledge sharing and lessons learned.
- Develop an understanding of BRM processes, systems and ways of working.
Requirements
Fitch Ratings is looking for candidates with:
- 1–2 years of experience as a Junior Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, Business Support Analyst or similar.
- Experience or interest in financial services, fintech, technology or commercial environments.
- Exposure to gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Experience supporting technology, process, reporting or operational improvements.
- Exposure to, or interest in, Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, Jira and Confluence.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Forms.
- An interest in financial services business processes.
- Ability to explain information clearly.
- Strong questioning and listening skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively between business and technical teams.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
