About the Role
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will support pupils with additional needs throughout the school day, helping them feel safe, comfortable, confident and independent.
You will provide personalised practical and personal care while working closely with teachers, healthcare staff and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and practical support to pupils with additional needs.
- Support pupils with toileting, changing, dressing, eating and personal hygiene where required.
- Assist pupils with mobility and physical needs in line with care plans.
- Promote pupils’ independence, dignity and confidence.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Provide emotional reassurance and encouragement.
- Follow individual EHCP, healthcare and personal care plans.
- Support pupils during lessons, transitions, break times and lunchtimes.
- Work closely with teachers, healthcare professionals and other staff.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and confidentiality.
- Respect pupils’ privacy and dignity at all times.

The successful candidate should:
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.

- Be comfortable providing personal care.

Experience and Training
Previous experience in personal care, SEND, healthcare or support work is desirable but not essential.
Full training and guidance can be provided to the right candidate.

Pay: £107.71 – £111.85 per day
