You will work within a supportive team structure that encourages reflective practice, professional development and collaboration. This is an opportunity to contribute to a specialist service at a time when kinship care is an important part of wider children’s social care reforms.

- Supervise kinship foster carers and support carers with legal arrangements, including Special Guardians.
- Help families provide safe, stable and nurturing environments for children.
- Facilitate activities for children in kinship care.
- Organise and support groups for kinship carers.
- Deliver workshops and training to help carers develop their skills and confidence.
- Apply trauma-informed, therapeutic and anti-oppressive approaches to social work.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the kinship care service.

- A commitment to anti-discriminatory and anti-racist social work.
- A compassionate, professional and proactive approach.
- The ability to build meaningful relationships with children, carers and families.
- A commitment to helping children recover from trauma and achieve greater stability.
- A willingness to participate in reflective practice, learning and service development.
Applicants should review the official job description and person specification for the full essential and desirable criteria.
