Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting a Study Support Service Facilitator to support the delivery of services within the NIHR Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN) Study Support Service.
The successful candidate will work with partners across the Yorkshire region, support collaboration and coordination, facilitate communities and events, provide expertise around cost and attribution tools, and help regional organisations with their data requirements.
The post also includes line management responsibility for a Study Support Service Officer, including supporting staff development, performance management and training needs.

About the Role
The Study Support Service Facilitator will support the operation and development of the NIHR Regional Research Delivery Network Study Support Service.
The role involves working with multiple organisations and partners across the region to encourage effective collaboration and coordination. This includes facilitating communities and events and helping ensure that the Study Support Service operates effectively.
The postholder will also maintain knowledge of relevant cost and attribution tools and support regional organisations with their data requirements.
A key part of the position is people management. The successful applicant will line manage a Study Support Service Officer and will be responsible for supporting staff reviews, identifying training and development requirements, helping address those needs and managing performance against agreed objectives.
Key Responsibilities
The Study Support Service Facilitator will:
- Support the delivery of services within the NIHR RRDN Study Support Service.
- Work collaboratively with partners across the Yorkshire region.
- Facilitate communities, meetings and events to support collaboration.
- Provide support relating to cost and attribution tools.
- Assist regional organisations with their data requirements.
- Contribute to the effective operation and development of the Study Support Service.
- Line manage a Study Support Service Officer.
- Undertake staff reviews and identify training and development needs.
- Support staff development and performance against agreed objectives.
- Help ensure the required skills and capabilities are available to meet current and future business needs.
- Contribute to the wider objectives of the NIHR Research Delivery Network.
About the NIHR Research Delivery Network
The National Institute for Health Research has 12 Regional Research Delivery Networks across the UK. These work with the national Coordinating Centre and the Department of Health and Social Care as part of the wider NIHR Research Delivery Network.
Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is the host organisation for the Yorkshire Regional Research Delivery Network.
The RDN supports the effective and efficient initiation and delivery of funded research across the health and care system in England.
Its work includes supporting clinical trials and other well-designed health and social care research, including studies delivered outside NHS settings, as well as relevant public health studies involving recruitment through NHS services.
The Regional Research Delivery Networks also support research sites, develop research delivery capacity and capability, help bring research to underserved communities and contribute to the strategic oversight of the NIHR RDN.
